Finally, Tom Hiddleston will play the lead in Coriolanus, directed by Josie Rourke, running from 17 December 2013 to 8 February 2014 (previews from 6 December).
Hiddleston, who previously told Whatsonstage.com that he would soon be returning to the stage, was last seen at the Donmar Warehouse in 2008 when he appeared in Othello andIvanov.
The cast will also include Mark Gatiss. Coriolanus will be broadcast to cinemas around the world on 30 January 2014 as part of NT Live.
Public booking opens on 25 June 2013.

Two More Hours
“It came back to him at the strangest times, the feel of her lips on his. He shouldn’t be thinking about it, about her. He should be here, now, answering the questions put to him. But the feel of her was so sweet, and the taste of her divine, and he had two more hours until he could see her again. He looked off into the distance and unconsciously touched his lips, his touch not as light as hers but reminding him, reminding him of what he would have later this afternoon.
He inhaled a deep breath and looked back at the interviewer, hoping he had answered the question, hoping he had made sense. He tried to push thoughts of her away, save them until he was with her and could focus on her completely.
He smiled and finished his thought, looking into the interviewers eyes, seeing that he had said the right things, made the right impression and he added one more thought, “It is my favorite thing to do…” but he wasn’t answering the question anymore, though the interviewer had no idea and they didn’t need to know that anyway.
